The Indoor Market at Ilfracombe has had a long history. Originally Southcombes established in 1840. A wonderful restaurant with silver service and afternoon tea dances. It has also been a dance hall and bingo hall and an Indoor Market. It is now an Indoor Market once again.
The Indoor Market offers a range of stalls providing a variety of goods. It is a great place to warm up and shelter from bad weather or get in out of the sunshine if we are lucky enough to have any.
The Coffee Break Café will be open within the Indoor Market where you can relax in a Victorian atmosphere. Take time out to enjoy a coffee or a tea and scrumptious cake or for those who have built up an appetite shopping a full menu is also available. A chill out zone is also available for those with less time who want to have a takeaway and make the most of the view.
There is free WiFi access for those that need it and a noticeboard for those who prefer more traditional information feeds.
The Marketplace has been an important commercial and social centre for communities throughout history. The 21st Century is no exception. There are stalls and more at the Indoor Market and it's easy to find on the High Street.
Tuesday – Saturday inclusive 10am – 4pm. Please see website for exceptions
