The apartment is on the ground and first floor of a victorian townhouse.

Located between Ilfracombe High Street and seafront, everything is within walking distance.


Ground floor access through a stone tiled hallway(shared with the owners, we live on the 2nd and 3rd floor) muddy boots, bikes etc can all be left safely, Inside a small lobby leads to high-ceilinged kitchen/diner with farmhouse table, terracotta tiled worktops, recycled pine cupboards and shelves.  Equipped with professional quality pans and utensils, (anything missing,please ask) a halogen hob with convection oven below.  Washing machine, microwave, cafetiere etc.

Through a short passageway to the front of the house is a double bedroom with 2 large arched windows (formerly shop windows) looking onto paved container garden area.  Stairs from lobby to first floor are stripped wood, as is much of the apartment flooring, easier for sandy feet.  Landing area has a large ordinance survey map and collection of vintage literature and walkers, maps of Exmoor National Park and the North Devon Coastal Path.

To the front is a lounge, 2 comfy sofas, freeview digi TV, CD stereo system.  Bay windows and double doors onto a large balcony with (very) partial seaview, bistrot table and chairs, fire-bucket BBQ.  Also on this floor is a bathroom with thermostatic fixed head shower over bath, basin, low-level wc, shaving point. Along the hallway is the second
double bedroom with LCD TV.  Adjacent is a second toilet with hand basin.


The apartment has gas central heating throughout, wifi, and all bed linen, bath towels, teatowels and utilities are included in the price, we service the apartment ourselves to ensure it is clean fresh and looking its best for your holiday. Dogs are always welcome.

When you arrive one of us will meet you, give you the keys and answer any questions you might have, there´s
also a welcome tray of tea or coffee on arrival.

Driving directions

From junction 27 of the M5, follow the A361 to Barnstaple. Continue on the A361 folowing the signs to Ilfracombe.

On entering Ilfracombe from Mullacott cross at the first set of traffic lights turn left towards the sea front. At the next set of light contine through until you see the Landmark Theatre on your left, Turn right opposite Runnymede Gardens into Avenue Road.

Other transport

From Barnstaple Railway Station or town centre bus number 21 to Ilfracombe. Alight after 2nd set of traffic lights in Ilfracombe.  Bus stop at the bottom of Avenue Road 50 metres walk to 8 Avenue Road.

COMPLAINTS ADVICE

In the unlikely event you are not happy about an aspect of your holiday accommodation we recommend you bring your concerns to the attention of the management of your establishment, so the problem can, if possible, be remedied at the time. If there is no improvement you should call at the Tourist Information Centre and put your concerns in writing. The issue can then be investigated by the IDTA. You can also make your concerns known to the organisation that has inspected the establishment and again we advise you to do this in writing.
