South West Coast Path

630 miles of superb coastline

The South West Coast Path is a National Trail, 630 miles running all the way around the South West Coast from Minehead in Somerset to Poole Harbour in Dorset. The path is a mixture of rural and urban walks and runs right through Ilfracombe. The urban area of the trail runs from the pathway above Rapparee Beach to Granville Road/ The Torrs.

Why not take out a SWCP Passport and log your walks along the path.

In early 2012 eight information boards were placed along the route of the urban trail. These describe and interpret what you can see if you look up whilst reading the board. Boards were also placed at the village of Lee and Hele Bay, although not within the main seafront of Ilfracombe, Lee and Hele Bay are very much part of the town and both also lie along the route of the South West Coast Path.
